Roanoke Study Group Projects
From Color Study work and Plain Weave is Anything
We chose color as our first area of study and agreed that we would use what we learned to make and share samples. Using Leslie Voiers' book, Plain Weave Is Anything but Plain, we worked through all of the different projects. One of our funniest meetings happened when we got together to learn to use a warping paddle and wind a warp for each member of the group. With too many hands and too much advice it's a wonder that 9 warps were finally wound. After completing all 18 projects in Leslie Voiers’ book, we decided to apply what we had learned so far by making a project of our choice, sharing photos and project notes with each other. We met on September 23, 2011 and shared our projects, and although we had all studied the same lessons for the past 18 months, the diversity of the projects was amazing.
