A trick to manage floating selvedges
using 2 cones and a long dowel
Those who use floating selvedges know that sometimes the yarn likes to unwind, and eventually break. In order to prevent that from happening, use cones to hold the excess floating selvedge yarn, and a dowel between the cones to prevent any twist, as shown in this photo. Thanks to member Rebecca Wilkins-Huffman who shared this tip with us from her friend, Sue Groundwater, from Winchester, VA.
